Running: Part 3, A good time

I ran well today. I left work a little early as I was zoning out again. Too many thoughts of what I need to do, rather than just doing the work.

My run started out bad. I had a tightness in my chest that I wasn’t able to kick for the first 15 minutes (stress? I don’t know). I suppose I was hitting steady state then. There are some things I like about the running, the solitude, the ability to forget about the time and distance. I hit a zone for about 5 minutes today. Definitely no runner’s high (I was working hard), but for a moment I forgot what I was doing.

Here is my route today (thank god for google maps):

Notes:

  • I ran at 91% Max BPM
  • Total run time: 33 miniutes
  • knees were aching at the end of run

After my stretches and cool down, I went to the condo gym. I did 45 push-ups, 45 crunches, and 45 arm curls.
