Acupuncture with Dr. Stanley Gwo Wuu Shyu

[UPDATED: 2016/09/07]: I noticed some traffic to this page and looked into the dead links here.  I’ve reposted the files here. The PDF files are funny because it shows you what The Toronto Star’s website looked like back in 2006.

So Jen and I have been receiving acupuncture from our TCM Doctor, Dr. Stanley Gwo Wuu Shyu. He was featured prominently in the May 5th, Health section of the Toronto Star

The Toronto Star has a 7-day archive, so I took the time to PDF the article and testimonials this morning. See the Links Section below.

This weekend, I asked Dr. Shyu what did they do prior to electric stimulation of needles? They did two things:

  1. Heat the needles using incense, and
  2. Push-Pull-Twist needles to stimulate the meridian point

He demonstrated method number 2 on me. It’s not something that I want to repeat. He says he only does it when people are in really bad shape (Pain being relative—the patients don’t mind, I guess).

He also fixed my congestion. He placed a needle on the side of left nostril and it drained my nasal passage. Amazing! I was stunned.

I had treatment for allergies this week. I am curious to see what it will do during Ragweed Season.

I can’t wait.
