OK Computer

From the “Computer woes” Dept.

The anticipation is killing me. I picked up my new video card (Sapphire Radeon 9600 Pro Ultimate). The neat thing about this card is that the board is completely fankless; thus, no noise. An added bonus is that the card is highly overclockable.

Wicked.

Unfortunately, it did no come with Tomb Raider: Angle of Darkness, as advertised. I have to call customer support tomorrow.

It’s unfortunate that I don’t have a motherboard to even all of my new toys.

From the “I hear the noise and my computer isn’t even assembled” Dept.

I’m beginning to regret my choice of heatsink for my dual computer. It’s not even on, but I can still remember <shudder> the vibration and noise caused by my Vantec Aeroflows.

At 40 bucks a pop—-they are almost as expensive as my cpu. So I can’t just junk them.

I’ve added some foam spacers between the fan and heatsink. Maybe that will reduce the vibration.

Oh well, I won’t know if it works or not until I get my mobo back.

Cheers,

Tai
